Cargo crime in Europe costs €8bn a year

TAPA is taking the fight against cargo crime into Central and Eastern Europe.
Gathering intelligence on freight crime in Central and Eastern Europe and improving supply chain security will be discussed at a free one-day regional conference in Poland next month, which is organised by the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA).

Speakers at the event will include the Polish police and the Institute of Business Security in Poland (IBB). There will also be a manufacturers' perspective from Dell, a presentation on asset telematics systems and intelligence from GE VeriWise and Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, plus an overview of TAPA's Freight Security Requirements (FSR) and Truck Security Requirements (TSR).According to Mark Schwarz, conference lead for TAPA EMEA, this is the latest in a series of events in the EMEA region aimed at generating a higher level of intelligence on cargo crime and to position TAPA membership as the most effective way to tackle a problem that is estimated to cost businesses some €8 billion a year in Europe alone.

توقعات بزيادة فى اسعار الشحن البحرى فى يونيو القادم

علمت من مصادرى الخاصة أن هناك نية لبعض الخطوط- والتى تخدم خاصة موانئ بورسعيد وتنقل الى الاسكندرية -هناك نية لزيادة نوالين الشحن فى شهر يونيو القادم ولكن لم يصلنى بعد حتى الان كم ستكون هذه الزيادة
وانا عن نفسى ألتمس العذر للخطوط الملاحية فى الزيادة بعد الهبوط الكبير فى اسعار نوالين الشحن واللذى تواكب مع الازمة المالية العالمية والتى مايزال العالم يعانى منها حتى الان
ولقد تعلمت فى هذه الفترة -فترة هبوط اسعار الشحن - أن أكثر من تضرروا من هذا الهبوط هم شركات الشحن (Freight Forwarders) ولذا أنا عن نفسى أتمنى أن تصل أسعار الشحن الى سابق زمانها عندما كان سعر شحن الحاوية ال20 قدم من شنغهاى الى السخنة مثلا كان حوالى 2000 دولار
ولذا أنا أول من يرحب بهذه الزيادة العامة فى نوالين الشحن
وسأوافى قراء مدونتى أولا بأول عن أى زيادة تطرأفى الخطوط الملاحية

CMA CGM and Maersk launch North Asia – Black Sea service

CMA CGM and Maersk will launch a new joint service linking North Asia and the Black sea on May 20th

from eyefortransport.
The New Bosphorus Express will deploy ten 6,500 TEU vessels; five from CMA CGM and five from Maersk.The port rotation for the new service will be: Dalian > Tianjin > Busan > Shanghai > Ningbo > Taipei > Chiwan > Yantian > Tanjung Pelepas > Port Kelang > Aqaba > Port Said > Damietta > Istanbul Evyap > Istanbul Ambarli > Constanza > Illichivsk > Odessa > Damietta > Port Said > Port Kelang > Tanjung Pelepas > Dalian. The New Bosphorus Express enhances CMA CGM's existing Med services, and is now able to call directly at all major Asian and Mediterranean ports.

Bill of Lading, Clean

1. A bill of lading which bears no superimposed clause or notation which expressly
declares a defective condition of the goods and/or the packaging (Article 18, Uniform
Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits).

A bill of lading that contains a clause
declaring defective goods is called a Foul Bill of Lading.

2. A bill of lading that is silent as to the place of storage, indicating that the goods have
been stowed under deck. (See Bill of Lading, Unclean)

Bill of Lading, Forwarder's

A bill of lading issued by a forwarder to a shipper as a receipt for merchandise that the forwarder will consolidate with cargo obtained from other exporters and ship to his agent at the port of destination. In most cases, the Forwarder's Bill of Lading has legal standing for banking purposes. Also called House Bill of Lading.

OOCL, TSK and COSCON launch new Middle East Express service

OOCL, TSK Line and COSCON have agreed to operate a new joint service, the Middle East Express (MEX).
The new service, which is expected to start on May 17th ex-Shanghai, will deploy five vessels with a nominal capacity of 7,500 TEU (loadable capacity of 6,500 TEU).
OOCL and COSCON will provide two vessels each and TSK Line will provide one.
The MEX port rotation is: Shanghai > Ningbo > Hong Kong > Shekou > Singapore > Jebel Ali > Dammam > Singapore > Hong Kong > Shanghai.
The new service will replace the current Middle East Asia Express (MAX) service operated by OOCL and TSK Line, which deploys five 5,500 TEU vessels (loadable capacity of around 5,000 TEU).

CMA CGM launches direct service between North Europe, Greece and Turkey



CMA CGM will launch its new French Europe Med Express (FEMEX) service from Hamburg on June 1st.
The new fixed-day weekly service will deploy five 2,100 TEU vessels to provide CMA CGM customers with direct connections between North Europe and the main ports in the Aegean and Marmara Seas.
The FEMEX service will call in Tangiers - a CMA CGM strategic hub in the West Mediterranean offering new import and export opportunities between North America, Latin America, West Africa, Greece and Turkey. The FEMEX port rotation will be: Hamburg > Felixstowe > Antwerp > Le Havre > Tangiers > Malta > Piraeus > Thessaloniki > Istanbul > Gebze > Gemlik > Izmir > Malta > Tangiers > Hamburg. CMA CGM currently operates a fleet of 350 vessels, and serves 400 ports around the world.
