وبلغ حجم الشحن الجوي من البضائع التجارية مع أوروبا 1.076 مليون طن في عام 2009، أي ما نسبته %41 من اجمالي حركة الشحن الجوي الدولي في سوق الشرق الأوسط. وشهد اجمالي حركة الشحن الجوي خلال عام 2009 انخفاضاً بنسبة %14.9 في هذه السوق مقارنة بذروة نشاطها خلال عام 2008، ويعزى ذلك الى حالة الركود التي اجتاحت الاقتصاد العالمي. وبلغ متوسط نمو الشحن الجوي ثنائي الاتجاه في هذه الأسواق %6.5 سنوياً بين عامي 1999 و2009.
ويعكس الحجم الكبير من الشحنات الجوية التي تتدفق عبر الشرق الأوسط، عدا عن تلك التي يكون منشؤها أو مستقرها في المنطقة، أهمية هذه المنطقة كمركز رائد للشحن الجوي. كما تتمتع المنطقة بسوق بحرية-جوية مهمة، حيث تصل السلع من جنوب آسيا الى الشرق الأوسط على متن السفن ومن ثم تواصل طريقها الى أوروبا جواً. ومن غير الممكن فصل هذا العنصر المهم عن اجمالي حركة الشحن الجوي التي تمر عبر المنطقة بالاعتماد على أنظمة المعلومات المستخدمة اليوم.
وسيسهم توفير بنية تحتية جديدة في تعزيز مكانة المنطقة باعتبارها مركزاً رائداً للشحن। وسيكون مطار آل مكتوم الدولي في دبي أكبر مركز للشحن في العالم، حيث شهد سابقاً هبوط أول طائرة شحن على مدرجه في صيف 2010. وسيشكل هذا المطار الجديد نقطة البداية نحو عملية متكاملة تجمع بين مختلف وسائط النقل والخدمات اللوجستية وخدمات التصنيع والتجمع في منطقة واحدة للتجارة الحرة.

شركة شحن سويدية تستعين بحراس مسلحين لحماية سفنها
ستوكهولم (رويترز) - قالت شركة الشحن البحري السويدية والينيوس لاينز يوم الجمعة انها استعانت بحراس مسلحين ببنادق على سفنها لردع القراصنة الصوماليين لتصبح اول شركة شحن سويدية تعلن صراحة تسليح أفراد على متن سفن.
ويجني القراصنة الصوماليون ملايين الدولارات من الفدى بعد استيلائهم على السفن في المحيط الهندي وخليج عدن برغم محاولات قوات بحرية دولية للتصدي لمثل هذه الهجمات.
وتتجه شركات الشحن البحري التي تسير سفنها في هذه المياه على نحو متزايد نحو التعامل مع شركات الامن الخاصة للتغلب على هذا التهديد لكنها تلتزم الصمت بشأن التفاصيل.
وقال بيتر جودين مدير السلامة البحرية في والينيوس وهي شركة خاصة متخصصة في نقل السيارات والشاحنات "نظرا لتصاعد العنف من جانب القراصنة نشعر اننا في حاجة لاتخاذ خطوات اضافية باقصى ما في وسعنا لعدم التعرض لهجمات. ولذا تعاقدنا مع شركات تنشر افرادا يتمتعون بالخبرة في التعامل مع الاسلحة لحماية ملاحينا."
واضاف ان الاسلحة تتكون من بنادق هجومية وبنادق قنص.
وتابع قوله "انها اسلحة تمكننا من أن نظهر للقراصنة الذين يقتربون من بعيد اننا مسلحون. لا تهدف للحماية عن قرب."
وتقول شركات عاملة في قطاع الشحن البحري الدولي انها تسلح السفن على مضض.
وتترك المنظمة البحرية الدولية وهي منظمة تابعة للامم المتحدة مسؤولة عن سلامة الشحن البحري القرار بشأن نشر افراد امن متخصصين على السفن الى الدول التي تسجل فيها السفن.
وقال جودين ان خطوة والينيوس تتوافق مع قواعد المنظمة البحرية الدولية وان الشركة لم تجد أي تشريع سويدي يمنعها من القيام بذلك. واضاف "نستخدم حقنا في الدفاع عن انفسنا."
ويقول خبراء وضباط جيش ان اشتباكات بالاسلحة بين المتعاقدين الامنيين والقراصنة في المنطقة ربما تحدث بشكل يومي رغم أنه لم ترد تقارير بشأن كثير من هذه الحوادث.
ويقولون ان من الصعب تقدير عدد افراد الامن الخاص الذين يعملون حاليا على متن سفن قبالة سواحل الصومال لكن معظم الخبراء يقولون ان العدد قد يصل الى 500 تقريبا। وحتى العام الماضي كان المتعاقدون الامنيون يتصرفون عادة على انهم مستشارون امنيون غير مسلحيننقلا عن روترز

الجيش يتدخل لإنهاء أزمة ميناء السخنة
السويس- أحمد شلبي:
أعلن 400 عامل بشركة دبي العالمية العاملة داخل ميناء السخنة البحري بالسويس الدخول في إضراب مفتوح عن العمل؛ للمطالبة بإقالة مدير الشركة خالد بن الوليد وصرف الأرباح المتأخرة، وتعديل الرواتب والبدلات.
وأصاب الإضراب ميناء السخنة بالشلل، وتعطلت 3 حاويات على الأرصفة المخصصة للشركة بالميناء، كما توقفت جميع الأعمال الجمركية فيه.
ورفض العمال التفاوض مع مندوب الإدارة، وشدَّدوا على استمرار إضرابهم حتى تتم الاستجابة لمطالبهم، وعلى رأسها رحيل مدير الشركة، فيما أكدت قيادات من القوات المسلحة- حضرت إلى الميناء- استعداد الجيش لتسيير الحركة على الأرصفة، إذا استمر الإضراب।

51 سفينة عبرت القناة اليوم بإجمالى حمولات 2 مليون و272 ألف طن
وأضاف فاضل أن عدد السفن القادمة من الشمال وصل 21 سفينة بإجمالى حمولات 890 ألف طن ومن الجنوب 30 سفينة بحمولات مليون و383 ألف طن.
كما أشار إلى أن أكبر السفن القادمة من الشمال هى ناقلة الغاز LNG ARIES من جزر المارشال هى الأكبر، حيث بلغت حمولاتها 104 آلاف طن وكانت فى طريقها من أسبانيا إلى قطر، كما أن سفينة الحاويات MAERSK ELBA القادمة من هونج كونج من اتجاه الجنوب هى الأكبر وحمولاتها 145 ألف طن وكانت متجهة من ماليزيا إلى بلجيكا।
