The fire that broke out in the cargo hold of the MOL Prosperity on July 2nd (local time) has, according to MOL, now been brought under control.

While various media reports said that containers were being removed from the vessel's No.7 hatch, MOL says that the majority of the containers will remain on board the ship.
MOL is unable to confirm whether any of the containers were damaged in the fire, nor has the company established the cause of the fire.
