Salary circa US$115,000 Tax Free + full expat package
Our international client requires an experienced professional for their well established and diverse Maritime Services business in Egypt. This role has enormous possibilities for developing the business and taking advantage of the many growth areas that exist.
Candidates must have experience in Ship Agency, Liner Representation, Maritime Logistics and Marine Services and be able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities backed by solid commercial experience in the maritime sector.
- Lead and manage the entire operation across Egypt with full control and responsibility for the office network and quality of service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to drive the business forward and take advantage of wide ranging opportunities.
- Lead business development activities and actively engage with key clients & vendors across all Divisions of the company.
- Fully responsible for the P&L, credit control and accounting systems.
- Ensure that the Company is properly staffed with qualified, trained & motivated employees, responsible for promoting a strong performance based culture.
- Responsible for implementing quality management systems and processes.
Requirements:
· An experienced maritime professional with proven success at a senior level and extensive international experience in a multi-service and client focused organisation.
- A strong leader with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve continuous improvement, growth and operational excellence.
- Should have good operational knowledge with a systematic approach to improving and implementing processes and systems.
- Must have a strong commercial bias and be able to both develop existing business streams and be innovative in securing new business based on local opportunities.
· Financial skills and experience in managing a P&L, planning and overall budgetary control.
- Strong communication & relationship skills with clients and employees across diverse cultures; should have excellent negotiating and influencing abilities.
- Drive and resilience, particularly with regard to implementing strategy and managing development & change.
- Good client network and industry contacts in relevant sectors.
- Excellent communication skills in English, ability to formulate and deliver presentations effectively.
- University education.
